Do
I Have to be Fit to Before I Start Training?
Not at all, fitness will give you some advantage but it is by
no means a prerequisite. Your overall fitness, flexibility and
health will improve as a matter of course. If you have any concerns
about the state of your health or fitness before you start training
consult your doctor or assigned instructor.
How
Often Should I Train?
Students normally attend two or three regular classes per week.
Discuss your class assignment with your instructor.
How Often Will I be Graded?
Student testing takes place, approximately, every three months.
Where
Can I Get Equipment?
All equipment you will need is available from us, at a low cost.
Do
I Have to Enter Competitions?
No however, most students enjoy the thrill of entering competitions
and students from our Academies have competed at all levels
from Local to International events.
THE
BLACK BELT CLUB – Can be joined from Green Belt
This
achievement is not a guarantee; each student must not only complete
the requirements, but must have good grades in school, keep
their attendance at 2 classes per week, and display an excellent
attitude. Everyone has the potential of being a black belt!
MASTER
CLUB – Can be joined from Brown Belt
Students can apply to be accepted to the Master Club. A Master
Club student attends many functions, practices at home, and
there is no doubt in their minds that they are in the martial
arts not only for black belt but beyond.
Students
wishing to apply, may do so at the beginning of Brown belt,
by writing an essay entitled:
“Why I should be in Master Club”
S.W.A.T.
and D.E.L.T.A.
You will notice some special helpers on the floor assisting
the instructors. These are Master Club Members who have put
themselves in position to learn to teach the martial arts. Our
Special Winning Attitude Team is chosen from our Master Club
members, and will help set the example of excellence and attitude
in the white through green belt classes. Our Dedicated and Loyal
Teaching Assistants, actually begin to learn to teach classes.
Students who are part of theses teams will learn leadership,
gain confidence improve their understanding and increase their
maturity level.
